Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance, he moves seamlessly between genres including salsa, New Orleans-style brass band, big band jazz, and pop/rock, bringing both authenticity and musicality to every performance.

A highly active performer in Las Vegas, Lacala appears regularly at local venues and is a trusted substitute musician on the Strip, with credits including The Rat Pack Is Back and Zombie Burlesque. He also performs with leading ensembles such as the Jazz Vegas Orchestra and the Bruce Harper Big Band at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

His career highlights include sharing the stage with members of Trombone Shorty’s New Breed Brass Band, performing alongside Marc Anthony, and opening for Carrie Underwood.
